The Community of Hagley Estates
Hagley Estates, situated on the south end of Pawleys, boasts a rich history and a sought-after relaxed vibe. Unlike the pristine areas of Litchfield, it is cherished for its relaxed feel and minimal restrictions. Although Hagley Estates has a Property Owners Association (POA) with minimal deed restrictions, joining the POA is voluntary. Membership offers perks like voting on neighborhood issues and access to a bulk cable package. The community began development around 1965 with roughly 1200 lots, each known for its larger size—nearly half an acre or more, allowing residents to enjoy personal boat or RV storage. Just minutes away is the Hagley Boat Landing on the Waccamaw River, which connects to multiple other rivers and, ultimately, the Atlantic Ocean, offering endless days of exploration and enjoyment.
